RN-Registered Nurse
IBCLC-International Board Certified Lactation Consultant

Shannon Rastetter, BA, RN, IBCLC

Shannon has been a registered nurse for over a decade. She first started her career in Seattle as an RN in an intermediate care unit. After the birth of her first child she transitioned to clinic nursing in midwifery and women’s health.

Her passion for lactation support and education stemmed from the breastfeeding experiences she had with her own four children. Each of her breastfed children had their own trials and triumphs which required some form of breastfeeding support from lactation educators and providers that was invaluable to her during those early post-partum weeks and months.

Based on her own experiences, Shannon is passionate about providing lactation education before babies are born to help parents better prepare for the journey ahead. She believes that every family can thrive with encouragement and support in whichever path they decide to take in feeding their baby, whether it’s exclusive breastfeeding or pumping and bottle feeding or somewhere in between.

She is continually educating herself about breastfeeding and evidence-based practices to better support her clients and looks forward to helping you and your little one.
